Diddy has responded to the age discrimination suit being filed against him by a Franchesca Spero -- a former Bad Boy exec who has claimed he fired her because she was "old and disabled." According to TMZ.com, a spokesperson for Diddy has released a statement saying, "This is a grab for money by someone who concedes in her complaint to having had a drug relapse while on the job and an employer who was not satisfied with her work. There are many reasons why Ms. Spero is no longer employed by Bad Boy, but age discrimination is not one of them."

Spero is suing Diddy for $12 million and has claimed that she had a falling with out with the music mogul after having hip surgery back in 2008 -- then later "suffered a relapse" to an addiction to prescription meds and alcohol.

According to her lawsuit, Spero claimed that Diddy told her that she could no longer "run around" and earned too much money for "someone who could no longer keep up with his fast-paced lifestyle."

DR. DRE TALKS ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH 50 CENT: Dr. Dre has opened up about his distant relationship with 50 Cent. In an interview with Vibe, Dre has said that he is still on good terms with 50, but his recent venture into film has caused them to lose touch. He said, "Everything is cool. I haven't spoken to 50 in a long time. He's doing his own thing right now. Hopefully we'll get to work together again in the future but I think he's working on movies. As far as everybody else goes, I'm here. Everybody knows I'm working on my own thing. Once that's done, holla at me." Dr. Dre signed 50 to his label Aftermath/Shady back in 2002.

DJ KHALED WANTS TO COLLABO WITH EMINEM: DJ Khaled has revealed that he'd like to do a song with Eminem. According to MTV News, Khaled said, "I'm a big fan of his. I don't have a way to contact him. I don't know how I can sit down and play him some music; whatever I gotta do. Eminem, I got love. I wanna make this crazy record with you. Let's make history. Let's rip the streets apart." He continued, "I got the idea already that I wanna do with Slim Shady. I got the beat right now, so crazy, the concept. It's something the people are gonna love too. If I get Slim Shady on this joint, I'mma tear up the streets."
SHAWTY LO'S FIANCE ARRESTED: The ex-fiance of rapper Shawty Lo was arrested on Wednesday (September 2nd) after police said she attempted to bring loaded weapons into an Atlanta courthouse. According to Hiphopwired.com, Ecreia Laki Perez was taken into custody after police found a semiautomatic hand gun and a stun gun disguised as a cell phone in her purse when she tried to enter the Fulton County Courthouse. When questioned about the weapons, Perez told authorities she "forgot" she had the items. Perez has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon to a public gathering. Shawty Lo was not at the courthouse at the time of Perez's arrest.

T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle was reportedly arrested for drug possession on Wednesday night (September 1st) in L.A. According to TMZ.com, law enforcement sources have said that the couple was arrested on Sunset strip after making an illegal U-turn. Cops say they smelled marijuana, conducted a search and allegedly found what appeared to be ecstasy in their car.

While initial reports said that the couple had cups of Sizzurp -- aka codeine syrup in the car, law enforcement sources have allegedly said that it was a "small amount" of ecstasy in the car and the pills are being tested. Other reports say that the cops also allegedly found methamphetamines in the car. According to The Associated Press, T.I. and Tiny were released at approximately 4 am on Thursday (September 2nd) after posting $10,000 bail each.

Federal officials are reportedly in the process of determining whether or not to revoke T.I.'s probation due to the arrest. Reports say that T.I.'s probation officer has asked the rapper to return to Atlanta.

Yesterday (September 1st), Tiny sent out a tweet to her fans. She wrote, "Jus wanted 2say thank u 2every1 that's been leaving encouraging messages & prayers! We love u guys :) going 2 bed now! So glad 2 b n a nice clean bed."

50 Cent also took to Twitter to voice his thoughts on T.I. and Tiny's arrest. He wrote, "Man TI and Tiny done got picked up again for methamphetamines and ecstasy dam, man. Tiny gotta take that charge. Say it was yours, baby."

T.I. was released from jail back in December. He served seven months in prison for weapons possession.

Eminem has revealed that he is happy about the success of his album Recovery. The album has been number 1 on the Billboard charts for nine weeks and has sold 2.2 million copies. Em said, "I'm happy to be here. I'm happy to able to have a career as long as I've had . . . I feel truly blessed to be in the game as long as I've been in it. I'm obviously happy the way that people have received the album.

Em also explained how recording Recovery and 2009's Relapse-- along with his actually recovery from his addiction to painkillers has changed him. He said, "This whole recovery process has been a learning process for me and as I've gone through it, I've kinda changed as a person over time and I guess with that Relapse album you can kinda look at it as your watching the journey of me coming up out of my addictions and were I was at the point in time in my life and kinda learning how to rap again and getting back out there after not being out for so many years and kinda being in, basically seclusion."

Nicki Minaj is set to give her first-ever televised solo performance at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show. According to MTV News, the rapper will perform her number 1 hit, "Your Love." Nicki said, "I am truly honored to be a part of this year's VMAs. Just yesterday I was an underground female rapper. See Barbz? Dreams do come true."

Nicki will also launch a contest on her Twitter page where 10 fans will be able to get tickets to watch her performance. The contest will begin on September 7th and the winners will be announced on September 10th.

The pre-show will air live from the red carpet outside of L.A.'s Nokia Theatre on Sunday September 12th at 8pm.

The 27th annual MTV Video Music awards will be hosted by Chelsea Handler and will feature performances by Emimem, Drake, Kanye West, Usher, Justin Bieber, and more.

Soulja Boy and Amber Rose were reportedly flirting on Twitter. According to Globalgrind.com, Amber Rose was holding a contest on Twitter some time this week and then tweeted Soulja Boy and said, "Awhh @SouljaBoy U wanted me to call u Baby? ;-)" Soulja apparently asked Amber about her pretty girl swag and Amber replied back, "Yeah @SouljaBoy U like my swag don't u baby?"

She then ended their Twitter love affair by tweeting, "Flirting with Sexy Big Daddy @SouljaBoy Hahahaa Wow Baby ur Fans really love u. It's Fun Making them jealous ;-)"

Amber also revealed on Twitter that she had a crush on DMX back in the day. She wrote, "I LOVED DMX, Man I thought I was gonna marry him in the 7th Grade. I need him to come back!!!! Come back hubby Lol."

SOULJA BOY TO RELEASE NEW BOOK IN CONJUNCTION WITH NEW ALBUM

Soulja Boy is releasing his new memoir, Teenage Millionaire in conjunction with his upcoming album, The DeAndre Way. According to MTV News, Soulja explained what his fans could expect from the book. He said, "It talks about me making my first million dollars at 17 years old. I talk about how my life changed. It talks about the music industry, everything I learned about the music industry -- how I got into the music industry with my mind set, all the ins and outs that I go through."

He continued, "All the chapters break down my beliefs and what steps and methods I took to get in this position. I just go and break (them) down into detail. I just want all my fans to read it when my album drops and have a good read and feel where I'm coming from."
